Who is watching between inspections?

Routine inspections are often weeks apart, and pests don’t keep to the schedule: the first sign can be a guest complaint or a failed inspection.

EntoSense keeps watch with sensors. Every morning, your team gets either a short list of spots to check or confirmation that all is quiet.

Questions we get

Something else? Ask us.

How can the sensor work reliably without a camera?

An insect crossing the sensor changes the electric field on its surface, and the sensor picks that up. It works in the dark and in tight spots, and never records an image. We actively validate it against camera recordings to catch edge cases.

What does it pick up?

It's designed to detect any insect that crawls over it, and we're specialising it to tell harmful pests, such as bed bugs and cockroaches, apart from harmless ones. Not every detection is a pest, so the dashboard shows you how much activity there is and how often, and you decide what's worth a visit.

Does it replace our pest control provider?

No. It tells your team, and your provider, where to look, and keeps a record between visits. Your provider can get their own view of your sites, so every visit starts in the right place.

How long does the battery last?

Multiple years on a single coin cell battery. Every sensor's battery level is shown in the dashboard, so replacements are planned well ahead.

What if a sensor stops working?

It's immediately flagged in the dashboard

What do we need on site?

Nothing, in most cases. The sensors talk to a small gateway over Bluetooth, and the gateway connects to the cloud over your WiFi, or over a cellular connection we install if there's no WiFi. We set up your first sensors with you, and your team can add more themselves whenever you need.
